Uninstall Sentinal Runtime driver

I am trying to download Windows 8.1.  I have Windows 8.0.  I am instructed to uninstall "Sentinal Runtime Drivers".   I cannot find out how to do this and I cannot find them on my computer.  I have tried a few things I've seen on the internet, but nothing works.  When I searched Microsoft for an answer, there was no solution.  Help!!!!!!!!!!

Hi Jon,

The popular app that use these runtime drivers is Lightworks https://www.lightworkdesign.com/

To resolve this issue, follow these steps.

a. Go to this site: sentinelcustomer.safenet-inc.com/sentineldownloads/

b. Download: "Sentinel HASP/LDK - Command Line Run-time Installer".

c. Unzip the files.

d. In an elevated command prompt (run cmd.exe as an administrator) navigate to the location where you unzipped haspdinst.exe.

e. Type the command “haspdinst.exe –remove” without quotes and press Enter.

f. When it finishes successfully, type the command “haspdinst.exe –purge” without quotes and press Enter.

g. When this finishes successfully, the HASP drivers should now be uninstalled. Re-boot and try the upgrade again.

Let us know the results. If you have any further issues on the computer, please post your question regarding Windows and we will be happy to help you.

For me, on a Windows 8 Tablet, the following commands only displayed a help screen.

   haspdinst.exe –remove

   haspdinst.exe –purge

   haspdinst.exe /p

The following command worked.

   haspdinst.exe /r

The Windows 8.1 then proceeded.

Just use the haspdinst.exe /r command. The remove and purge didn't work for me either.
