Unclose-able white box in the bottom of my screen

Hello,

This white box has been appearing in the bottom right corner of my screen. I can't see or click on the part of the screen it covers.

It does not close with any tabs and although it goes away temporarily after I restart my laptop, it appears again after a few minutes.

I have had a look through task manager and process explorer but I haven't been able to find whatever process has been causing it in there.

Does anyone know what this is and how I can get rid of it?

The blank window at the lower right corner of the screen belongs to McAfee antivirus program.

McAfee is aware of the issue and we are working on the fix. As a work around we request you to change the McAfee Firewall settings as below and update us the outcome.

  • open McAfee Firewall

  • Click Traffic Controller

  • Select Smart Access

  • Click apply

  • Reboot PC
