Unable to turn off airplane mode in windows 10. Airplane mode is grayed out.

Tried all the basic steps to turn off airplane mode. With no success.  
Do you know if you have the latest updates?  There was a bug in an older version that caused the button to show grayed out like that, or get stuck on. It was only a visual bug: even with the button being shaded, you could still use connections.  But they fixed the bug in the update.

Is the switch just showing the wrong status, or are you really actually being blocked from using WiFi and such?
