I have been trying to download and install back 4 blood for a while now and i keep getting errorcode 0x8007007E.
i have tried running windows update troubleshooter, resetting microsfot store cache, resetting microsoft store in settings, running a commandprompt with DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth i have tried restarting my pc, shutting down my pc and booting it back up. when ever i keep trying to stop the download/install of the game it just pops right back up with error failing to download as well as trying to update gaming services even though it is up to date

Hi,
Thank you for writing to Microsoft Community Forums.
I appreciate the efforts taken by you in resolving the issue. I understand that you are unable to install Back 4 Blood on your computer. I’ll certainly assist you with the issue.
However please let us know:
Are you able to install any other application from Microsoft Store?
Are you aware of any changes made to the computer prior to this issue?
Which build version of Windows 10 is installed on the computer? Refer Which version of Windows operating system am I running?
As you have already tried multiple troubleshooting steps, I would suggest you to create a new user account on the computer, and see if that helps. Refer the article Create a local user or administrator account in Windows 10.
Let us know how it goes.
Regards,

I'm not the same person that created the post, but I can offer some answers
1. I was able to install a different game in the xbox app (Psychonauts 2). I started the download in the microsoft store, but it errored out, so I started in the xbox app, with no extra success. Here are the errors in the microsoft store.
2. No changes to the computer that I'm aware of. But I am seeing these
3. Here is the build.

So I managed to fix it, but I don't know how. I had same problem with FH5.
All I did:
Updated windows
Restarted Xbox services in Task manager > services
Then tried this:
Press Windows key + R from the Desktop and click on Enter.
Type wsreset.exe and click on OK.
Then tried this:
Press Windows key + x
Choose PowerShell (ADMIN)
Then type this:
dism /online /cleanup-image /restorehealth
sfc /scannow
Get-AppXPackage -AllUsers |Where-Object {$_.InstallLocation -like "*SystemApps*"} | Foreach {Add-AppxPackage -DisableDevelopmentMode -Register "$($_.InstallLocation)\AppXManifest.xml"}
Hope it works.

I ended up fixing the issue by reformatting my machine. I spent about 3 hours removing registry keys, forcefully removing xbox game service files, fighting with folder permissions that would allow me to delete files in a folder, and running powershell commands that were supposed to reinstall windows apps to a solid state. Also tried repairing and deleting cache for the windows apps. All for nothing. Just got fed up.
Edit:. I also ran some commands that were supposed to fix windows update as well. Didn't seem to help the issue.
Thanks for your reply though, I hope this helps others that had the same error.
