Unable to login to the PC after updating to Windows 10 1903 update

So, this morning i was updating my Windows 10 Ver. 1803 into 1903. After the update was installed, i tried to log in but the system says my password was incorrect, i'm sure that the password was correct (Before updating, i clean install my Disk C system and log in into windows with my University Mail account i believe).

I have tried several solutions, including using OSD-Keyboard, reset this pc and activating command prompt. But i can't continue with the last 2 solutions because the system says that i don't have administrator account on my pc. (see pic 3)

On Pic 1, usually below the password box, there is a button written "Reset this password" but there isn't.

On Pic 2, i've tried to log in using my gmail account and my university account that i believe currently log in as the name of "Rizki Laksmana Pratama" but the system keep telling me the password is incorrect (both gmail and university email)

Thanks in regard

Answer

Hi,

Thank you for writing to Microsoft Community Forums.

I understand that you are facing issues while logging in to the PC after installing the latest Windows update. I appreciate your time and effort in trying to resolve the issue by performing certain steps to login.

To understand the issue better, please respond to the questions below:

  1. Is the PC connected to university network/domain network?

  2. Is the computer connected to the internet while you are trying to login to your computer?

If you are not connected to internet, please connect an Ethernet cable to the PC and then try logging.

However, I would suggest you to follow the steps mentioned below and check if that helps.

Method 1:

Try booting the PC in to safe mode and check if you are able to login. Refer the article Start your PC in safe mode in Windows 10

If the issue persists, please try the next method.

Method 2:

Since you are unable to login, I would suggest you to try rolling back the update and check. Refer the section Go back to your previous version of Windows in the article Recovery options in Windows 10

In addition, you can also try resetting the password for the university account and check if you are able to login. In order to reset the password please get in touch with the university.

If the issue persist, please get back to us with the result of troubleshooting steps to assist you further with the issue.
