Unable to edit photos in Windows 10

1. How are you trying to edit the photos by any application? Are you using paint or Photos app or Photo Gallery or any 3^rd party program?

2. Have you made nay changes to the PC prior to this issue?

3. Do you get any error code or message?

I can edit photos using Picasa 3

No Changes to PC.

No error codes.

Additional Information:

1 Open File Explorer.

2 From menu select Pictures.

3 From pictures list select photo to view or edit.

4 Selection results:

    A thumbnail size of the selected photo appears at the right side of the displayed page.

    Along with the photo a list of twenty three (23) items describing the photo.

    Some of the items are Date taken, size, camera make, f-stop, date created, etc.

5 The selected photo cannot edited (crop, brighten, etc.) ; nor view other than as a thumb nail photo.

6. The problem application worked properly two or three weeks ago.

I was using file explorer just a few days ago to edit photos.  It did a nice job.  Now it has a whole new menu that is missing crucial functions:  no more "light"  brightness, contrast, shadows, highlights; "crop" and "straighten" have been combined.  No more "save as"  No more "cancel."  

Was file explorer changed as part of an update?  If so, it's ruined.  Please un-update it.

Perhaps, Anju Thekkethil should try using the new version to edit photos and learn its shortcomings.  Sending a screen shot of the new menu isn't going to tell him anything.
