.txt to .bat

Hello guys,

I have a problem - I tried to rename a .txt file to a .bat file but it didn't work. I also tried to save as the file to .bat but there ain't no options to do that. Is it because of my computer or just I need to get an extension or anything else?

Windows version: 8.1 (Please note of that!)

Thanks for your help!

(In gaming type cuz I also need to set up a Minecraft server and it requires more RAM and memory)

I will assume you are using Notepad. If so, select save as and then select the pulldown menu at the end of the Text Documents  line and choose "all files".

Then add .bat to the end of your file name and select Save.
