After upgrading from Windows 7 64 bit to Windows 8 64 bit on a Samsung Series 7 Slate, the TWAIN driver for my Fujitsu FI-6130 scanner does not seem to be present.
With Windows 7 and Adobe Acrobat 9.5, I was able to create a document using the scanners native interface or using preset configurations. In the scanner selection box for Acrobat 9.5 I could chose FUJITSU fi-6130dj or the WIA driver labeled WIA-fi-6130dj. The first one allowed me to use the scanner's native interface, while the second option bring up the microsoft scanner dialog box. Definitely, not the way to go when scanning lots of documents.
In Windows 8 the only option is to use the WIA driver labeled WIA-fi-6130dj.
I've reinstalled and updated drivers, reinstalled and updated Acrobat to version 9.5 and can't seem to get the native interface working or the ability to use a present configuration. The dialog box says preset configurations are not support by the scanner. Not true! They worked fine under windows 7.
Any ideas, tips, trick or advice to solve this mystery are greatly appreciated.
