Hi, I'm Robinson, and I’m happy to help you today.
I know how frustrating this may be for you but I'll do my very best to help you.

Windows 10, version 1909 reached the end of servicing on May 11, 2021. This could be an incompatibility with the version of the driver, the first thing that you can try is to update the Windows for the latest version 21H1, you can download the update assistant on this link.
https://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?LinkID=799445

Then you can check for driver updates.
1-Right-click on Start then click on Device manager
2-Right-click on the Synaptics driver and select update driver then select to search automatically

You can use Disk Cleanup to remove temporary files and old Windows update.
1-Click on Start then search for the Disk cleanup and click on that
2-Select the drive and click on Ok
3-Select the files that you want to delete then click on Ok
4-Open the Disk Cleanup again the click on "Clean up system files"

Another option is to use the Storage sense to free up drive space in Windows.

You can run the SetupDiag to check where is the problem with the update.
1-Download SetupDiag.
https://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?linkid=870142
2-If your web browser asks what to do with the file, choose Save. By default, the file will be saved to your Downloads folder. You can also save it to a different location if desired by using Save As.
3-When SetupDiag has finished downloading, open the folder where you downloaded the file. By default, this is your Downloads folder, which is displayed in File Explorer under Quick access in the left navigation pane.
4-Double-click the SetupDiag file to run it. Click Yes if you are asked to approve running the program.
5-A command window will open while SetupDiag diagnoses your computer. Wait for this to finish.
6-When SetupDiag finishes, two files will be created in the same folder where you double-clicked SetupDiag. One is a configuration file, the other is a log file.
7-Attach the file SetupDiagResults.log.

The SetupDiagResults.log indicates a driver problem. Both problems could be related, the touchpad and the USB devices are managed by the Chipset. You can use the HP Support Assistant to check for driver updates and check for troubleshooters.
