Hi,
Thank you for posting your query in Microsoft Community.
Teredo is a technology which is used to send IPV4 encapsulated IPV6 packets across the network.
If you don't connect to the network with IPV6 protocol, you have no need to worry about the Teredo Tunneling adapter.
Follow the below steps to disable Teredo tunneling:
- Press Windows key + X, select Command prompt (Admin) to bring up elevated Command prompt.
- In Command prompt type:
-
netsh interface teredo set state disabled
-
Press Enter.
- Restart the computer.
Hope it helps.
Let us know if you have any further query on Windows, we are glad to assist you.

Good morning. Thanks for the response. However not being sure what IPV4 or 6 protocols are or how to find out if I'm using them I've left the status quo as my internet is back up and running. How do I check?
Regards.
