Top part of screen shown at the bottom

Hello, I had this same issue faced by this person here:

https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/surface/forum/all/part-of-top-of-display-is-echod-onto-the-bottom-of/edc25f08-737a-4e8f-955f-8ffe106ffc26

(they have attached images in the question that are descriptive)

They are a microsoft surface user but I am not, I am using an hp omen 15 laptop and have this exact same issue where the bottom has about 15ish lines (single pixel wide horizontally) that are reflecting whatever is on the top or in the middle depending on colors I think, I have tried power cycling my laptop, removing and installing drivers but the issue remains and it started randomly without the addition of any software or any damage caused. I have also tried rolling back windows updates but to no use.

Hi, Haris Rauf1

Thanks for your reply!

From the picture, it seems that this is a case of misplaced icons. I noticed that the problem will be solved when you connect an external monitor and set the display mode to "Duplicate". This phenomenon is normal. It depends on the resolution and scaling compatibility between the monitor and the laptop. If the resolution, refresh rate and scaling ratio between the two monitors are different, this problem will occur.

It is recommended that when using a laptop, right-click the desktop-View, and select "Auto Arrange Icons".

Then right-click the mouse on the desktop, select Display Settings, and set the scale to 125% to see if this problem can be alleviated.

If you have any progress, you are welcome to contact us at any time.

Best Regards
