Time zone keeps changing to central time regardless what I do

Out of nowhere, my Windows 10 PC's time zone keeps changing to Central Time, when I undo it, it changes back.

I tried everything I could think of, I watched multiple tutorials, looked it up on several websites, the problem is not permanently solved.

I tried control panel > date and time > change time zone

Didn't work

I tried services > windows time > stop > automatic > start > restart

Didn't work

I tried one with CMD where its similar to the services one

Didn't work

No matter what I do, it keeps changing back to Central Time randomly.

Could you please do the following?

Press Win + R to open the Run dialog.
Type regedit and hit Enter to open the Registry Editor.
In the Registry Editor, navigate to the following path: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\TimeZoneInformation.
Find the TimeZoneKeyName value and double-click it.

Change the value data to the preferred time zone name (e.g., “GMT Standard Time”).
Click OK to save the changes.

To disable automatic time zone updates:

Navigate to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\tzautoupdate.

Set the Start value to dword:00000004 (for manual time zone setting).

Hope that helps, and rely on us for any further inquiries. All the best.

Same here. Server is set to Manual Update.
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\tzautoupdate\Start = 4

Machine still reverts to Central Time instead of Eastern.

At least it is not propagating to the workstations.

Never mind. I wrote a script to set the Time Zone.
Can't find a real answer, so I'll band aid the issue.

tzutil /s "Eastern Standard Time"

Scheduled it to run daily at 0300.
Should be enough.
