Which model Thrustmaster Wheel ?
Is the wheel identified correctly in Device Manager > Human Interface Devices, or Universal Serial Bus devices ?
If the wheel is not identified correctly you may have to do the same with your wheel as I have to do with my Logitech G27...
Reinstall the software every time I reconnect the wheel.
"it is nothing to do with the wheel or Thrustmaster's control panel."
- You installed the Win10 version of the Thrustmaster software but can't see the Thrustmaster Control Panel ?
There is no executable to launch the software in the Thrustmaster software install folder, or... ?
- Are the other machines using the same version of Win10 ?

Thank you for replying. To answer your questions is
1 The model is Thrustmaster TMX FFB Wheel connected to 3 pedals base unit which makes it Thrustmaster TMX Pro.
2. It is identified in Device Manager as a Human Interface Device. "(Thrustmaster FFB Wheel (USB )"
3. Other machine is running the same window 10 version.
When Using the other persons PC, I click on Apps, Thrustmaster FFB Racing Wheel, Control Panel and Thrustmaster's control panel comes up. So I can then set up the Wheels and pedals.
When I try on my Pc, I click on Apps, Thrustmaster FFB Racing Wheel, Control Panel and Window's control panel comes up. Unable to set up the wheel and pedals
This is why I said that "it is nothing to do with the wheel or Thrustmaster's control panel" as it all works on other machine. It appears to me that somehow windows is going to its own control panel set up for some reason on my computer only. Hope this helps you.

[EDIT: I forgot the list in the Start Menu is called All Apps, and deleted some irrelevant stuff....
Strange science alright, and confusing....
I was thinking you had installed a profiling program provided by Thrustmaster that allows you to make profiles for games that used DInput,
as well as games that use XInput, and tweak wheel and pedal settings as does the program for my 'old' Logitech G27.
I haven't had experience with newer wheels that are chained to XBOX. Only the XBOX controller.
- Are the wheel and pedals basic plug and play functions and default XBOX button assignments working on your machine ?
Looking at an add for the wheel I see it should run on games that use XInput\XBOX controllers as default.
So are you wanting to calibrate the wheel via - Control Panel > Devices and Printers ? If the wheel is functioning and
you R\click on the wheels icon it should reveal Game Controller Settings under which you will be led to the calibration tool. ] ]
------------------
- If you have installed a program provided by Thrustmaster....
Have you tried launching the program via the executable that should be in the programs install folder ?
Once launched the software should have an option to launch the program during Windows Startup. This should pin a shortcut
in the Notification area (may need to be enabled in - Taskbar Settings > Select which icons appear on the Taskbar ) .
Or you could make a desktop shortcut and pin it to the Start Menu if you don't want the program running all the time.

Hi
The Wheel is a plug and play and runs on X box and PC. I am trying to calibrate this wheel only under the Game Controller Settings.
I have a downloaded program provided by Thrustmaster which puts their Control Panel Calibration and updater software onto my computer. When running this program I can calibrate the wheel and pedals. This works on my friends computer but not on mine. When I click on the Thrustmaster Control Panel I get the windows one instead. This is my problem which I am trying to sort out. This is why I said that the problem is a local one to me and not Thrustmasters or the wheel as it works on my friends machine. Works well on the other pc.
It seems to me to be that somehow windows has become confused and starts up the windows configuration and nor Thrustmasters one. How to do this is beyond me. Would formatting the C: drive and reinstalling windows 10 sort this out or after doing that would I still be left with the same condition. It would be a lot of work for me to save my files on another computer which I do not mind doing if it sorts out this problem but I feel that this should be able to be done without having to go that way. " I Hope"
Looking forward to your reply
