The whole Microsoft store is acting up

Hello,

I wanted to install Minecraft: Bedrock but the launcher installer "can't communicate with Microsoft Store." So next I try to install it directly from the Store, but then it asks to install gaming components before playing PC games. When I press Download it greys out and nothing happens. Nothing installs too, and I tried clearing the cache already.

Hey Vinay! Thanks for reaching out to me, but now I have a bigger problem. On top of this, MS store is greyed out with an exclamation mark on it. It won

t open even when I tried to reinstall it, heck I even reinstalled Windows! Also Windows Update gives Error 1053 to me, not sure about the rest.

It seems that there are service configuration issues. Please run a scan with Farbar Recovery Scan Tool (FRST) and share your logs.

https://www.bleepingcomputer.com/download/farbar-recovery-scan-tool/

Note: If you are using Edge, SmartScreen may initially block the download.

Click on the three dots next to the warning and select Keep => Show more => Keep anyway.

  • If your computer's language is not English, rename FRST64.exe to FRST64English.exe

  • Run the tool, leave the default settings, and press Scan.

  • Zip the logs, FRST.txt and Addition.txt, then upload to a cloud storage service like OneDrive, Google Drive or gofile.io

  • Post the share link.

The share permissions on the logs are set to restricted. Either grant my access request or change the permissions to "Anyone with the link".

Thanks.

You've got some malware that has messed with Windows Update related services.

  • Download Fixlist.txt and save it in the folder where FRST64.exe is located.

  • Close any apps with unsaved work.

  • Run FRST64.exe and click "Fix".

  • The computer will reboot to complete the process.

Please upload Fixlog.txt so I can check a few things.
