Recently I installed Malwarebytes in my laptop (Windows 8.1) and ran a Threat scan for malware/virus infections (even though Windows Defender is installed by default). After completion of scan and removal process, the Internet explorer browser is facing internet connectivity issue (IE 11) when connected with home wifi. Whenever, I try to search for any website , I'm getting an error as
The proxy server isn't responding *127.0.0.1:8080*
- Check your proxy settings. Go to Tools > Internet Options > Connections. If you are on a LAN, click "LAN settings".
- Make sure your firewall settings aren't blocking your web access.
- Ask your system administrator for help.
Fix connection problems
Troubleshooting internet problems shows some remote service stopped working "detected".
I have performed all the necessary checks:- sfc scan, reset ipv6,ipconfig but it has let me down.
NOTE: Drivers are updated to the latest version, Automatic detect settings option is check marked (LAN settings)
Any help would be appreciated
