The OFFICE app from the Microsoft Store is not working at all

It's always stuck on this when I open it

  • What is the exact activity that you are trying to perform? Are you trying to install a new Office program on your device?
  • Are you getting any error codes or messages?
  • How are you trying to open this Office app? Are you getting this through the web (Microsoft Store) or directly opening through Windows Store app?

I am just trying trying to open the app since it was updated from the old one.

No error codes are appearing even on reliability monitor in control panel

The app was updated originally by the Microsoft Store app on Windows 10 from the old one but since it is stuck on a loop. I tried reinstalling it again.

I don't think a video is necessarry. Just try to update the app on a PC with Windows 10 version 1709 as the OS.

To clarify, what are the steps that you are trying to perform?

I tried to type Office in the search box on Windows 10 and open it successfully which looks like the image below.

Sharing a video will let us get a better view of what activity are you trying to perform. This will also help us to replicate it here on our end the same way as how you are trying to perform it.

In the meantime, you can try to create a new user Windows profile and see if the same behavior will occur.

FYI that screenshot of yours is the OLD "My Office" app.

Isn't it obvious that I was trying to open the NEW Office app. I don't need to tell you the steps because humans who have common sense would know how to open an app on a computer.

I repeat, a video showing what I am trying to do is unnecessary. Just Install the 1709 version of Windows 10 on the device you are using and UPDATE the preinstalled old "My Office" app to the new "Office" app and see if it opens successfully on your end. 

I'll update if the app opens on a diff. User Account

In the meantime, you can try to create a new user Windows profile and see if the same behavior will occur. 

As I expected. The NEW Office App is NOT WORKING even on a new user profile

I think the app has a bug that needs to be patched.
