The content of my "Downloads" folder under "This PC" is different from that under "Users".

When I download some documents, I can only see them when opening the "Downloads" folder from "This PC > Windows C: > Users > William (my username) > Downloads", but couldn't see them if just click the shortcut on my desktop, which is opened from "This PC > Downloads".

As you can see from the picture below, the contents of these two downloads folders are different.

Hi William

This is probably caused by OneDrive, and will require a registry fix . .

Click your Start Button, type regedit and hit Enter to open the Registry Editor

Click View and make sure 'Address Bar' is turned on

Paste this into the Address Bar at the top and hit Enter

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\User Shell Folders

Please provide a screenshot of that Registry Editor window . ..

Thank you fro the screenshot, all folder references are correct in the Registry . . .

Open File Explorer

Hi William, both those shortcuts reference the exact same folder, so there is no problem with that folder

So, I went back and had a look at your original screenshot, and I think I see the problem, on that screenshot, the folder on the right is ordered by Date Modified and the one on the left is not, open those two folders again and click the Name column header in both Windows so that arrow faces down, you should then see the same contents in both Windows . .
