tcpip.sys system service exception blue screen of death

Hello everyone,

I've been using my Windows 10 computer for a while now and, until now, everything's been running fine. However, I've been having a couple strange BSODs that pop up randomly as I'm using my computer. These, sadly, I don't know how to fix. The BSOD has the simple message, something along the lines of 'Your computer has experienced a problem and needs to restart'. Under it, in small writing, it says that a system service exception happened and tcpip.sys was the file that failed.

I've looked around in the Microsoft community a bit for solutions, but they all seem to have Windows 8.x and they have hardware-specific solutions. So, I've just decided to post the question myself.

I have already done the minidump and sysinfo files, here they are: http://www.mediafire.com/folder/dzbdq70cahmcg/sysinfo_%26_minidump (MediaFire).

Thanks in advance,
Darius Breskis.

Hi Darius

That minidump file indicates your Network adapter device driver is causing the system crashes

You should go to the support page for your device on the manufacturers website, then download and install the network drivers they recommend, those drivers may be older, but they will at least be compatible with your system . . .

There were multiple misbehaving drivers in the latest BSOD crash.

When using share links please use software that do not place pop ups or advertisements or potentially unwanted software on users computers.

For the website please use one of these for posting share links:

One drive, Drop Box, Google Drive

To evaluate the BSOD please post logs for troubleshooting.

Using administrative command prompt copy and paste this whole command.

Make sure the default language is English so that the logs can be scanned and read.

https://www.tenforums.com/tutorials/3813-language-add-remove-change-windows-10-a.html

The command will automatically collect the computer files and place them on the desktop.

Then use 7zip to organize the files and one drive or drop box to place share links into the thread for troubleshooting.

https://support.office.com/en-us/article/Share-OneDrive-files-and-folders-9fcc2f7d-de0c-4cec-93b0-a82024800c07

This command will automatically collect these files:  msinfo32, mini dumps, drivers, hosts, install, uninstall, services, startup, event viewer files, etc.

Open administrative command prompt and copy and paste the whole command:

copy %SystemRoot%\minidump\*.dmp "%USERPROFILE%\Desktop\"&dxdiag /t %Temp%\dxdiag.txt&copy %Temp%\dxdiag.txt "%USERPROFILE%\Desktop\SFdebugFiles\"&type %SystemRoot%\System32\drivers\etc\hosts >> "%USERPROFILE%\Desktop\hosts.txt"&systeminfo > "%USERPROFILE%\Desktop\systeminfo.txt"&driverquery /v > "%USERPROFILE%\Desktop\drivers.txt" &msinfo32 /nfo "%USERPROFILE%\Desktop\msinfo32.nfo"&wevtutil qe System /f:text > "%USERPROFILE%\Desktop\eventlog.txt"&reg export HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall "%USERPROFILE%\Desktop\uninstall.txt"&reg export "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Active Setup\Installed Components" "%USERPROFILE%\Desktop\installed.txt"&net start > "%USERPROFILE%\Desktop\services.txt"&REM wmic startup list full /format:htable >"%USERPROFILE%\Desktop\startup.html"&wmic STARTUP GET Caption, Command, User >"%USERPROFILE%\Desktop\startup.txt"

There are two files for you to find manually:

a) C:\Windows\MEMORY.DMP

Use file explorer > this PC > local C: drive > right upper corner search enter the above to find results.

b) dxdiag:

In the left lower corner search type:  dxdiag > When the DirectX Diagnostic Tool opens click on the next page button so that each tab is opened > click on save all information > save to desktop > post one drive or drop box share link into the thread

Thanks for replying to my question,

Sorry for using MediaFire, I just have a personal preference for it.
Anyway, I've done what you said. Here are the dropbox links:

The admin cmd:
https://www.dropbox.com/sh/50dt8tye0705l5p/AAAm6OYTMVR0PHdoRwNI8HRXa?dl=0

Dxdiag:
https://www.dropbox.com/sh/9zge1zsg0sdn53h/AACI1BCtaixpfgRTnhPLxPnea?dl=0

I couldn't find the MEMORY.DMP file anywhere, in C:\ drive and in C:\Windows drive (although they are the same thing).
Hope that's enough, though!

There were multiple drivers in the crash.

The drive file system is corrupt.

Perform the following steps.

1) Uninstall AVG using the applicable uninstall tool:

http://www.avg.com/us-en/utilities

2) Uninstall Malwarebytes using the applicable uninstall tool:

http://www.malwarebytes.org/mbam-clean.exe

3) Make sure Windows defender is on.

4) Use Windows defender only for one week.  Do not reinstall any AV software until there has been one week of stability (no BSOD).  After one week of computer stability you can reinstall one of the AV software products.  If the computer remains stable for several days then reinstall the second AV software product.  Alternatively you can continue to use only Windows defender

5) Uninstall and reinstall:  Netwtw06.sys

Intel(R) Dual Band Wireless-AC 8265

https://answers.micro     soft.com/en-us/windows/wiki/windows_10-update/updating-a-driver/a5e6345e-af9b-4099-bef0-8d22254aa1c1

http://downloadcenter.intel.com/

6) Open administrative command prompt and type or copy and paste:

7) sfc /scannow

8) dism /online /cleanup-image /restorehealth

9) When these have completed > right click on the top bar or title bar of the administrative command prompt box > left click on edit then select all > right click on the top bar again > left click on edit then copy > paste into the thread

10) chkdsk /x /r /v

This may take many hours so plan to run overnight.

Run thls command on all drives using the syntax:  chkdsk /x /r /v C: or chkdsk /x /f /v D: changing the drive letter to the applicable drive

C:\WINDOWS\system32>chkdsk /x /r /v
The type of the file system is NTFS.
Cannot lock current drive.

Chkdsk cannot run because the volume is in use by another
process.  Would you like to schedule this volume to be
checked the next time the system restarts? (Y/N)

Type:  Y

reboot

11) Use the txt and images in this thread to find the chkdsk reports in the event viewer > copy and paste > notepad > post a share link into the thread

https://www.tenforums.com/tutorials/40822-read-chkdsk-log-event-viewer-windows-10-a.html

12) The BIOS:  Version/Date    American Megatrends Inc. F22, 12/06/2017

Upgrade the BIOS:  F22 > F25

https://www.gigabyte.com/Motherboard/GA-H110M-S2H-rev-10#support-dl-bios

13) Increase the free space on the Windows drive to > 30 GB free space.

14) For any new BSOD rerun the administrative command prompt log collector and post a memory dump (c:\Windows\memory.dmp)

15) Run HD Tune (free edition) (run on all drives)

https://www.hdtune.com/

Post images into the thread for results on these tabs:

a) Health (SMART)

b) Benchmark

c) Full error scan
