Task View (Alt+Tab) background bug after updating to Windows 10 Version 2004

I have a bug that started after installing the May 2020 update of Windows 10. When in Task View the background becomes distorted, like the image below. (Not my screenshot, but exactly the same problem).

I can fix it temporarily by manually updating the Intel UHD 630 driver, to the exact same driver currently installed, but problem reoccurs after a reboot. I think the problem has to do with the Windows update and not the driver.

Any suggestions on how to fix this?

Hello NeyLive,

Thanks for the update. What is the build of your Windows 10 version 2004 right now? There was a cumulative patch of version 2004 released last July 31, please see link below - https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/4568831 . You can try to update on that build to check if it fixes this issue.

Please let me know if you need further assistance.

Keep safe always.

Sincerely,
Antonio

My current Windows 10 build is 19041.423

It is up to date, including that that cumulative patch. It did not fix the issue.

Could you fix the problem?

No, the issue was never resolved.

My solution was returning that computer and buying a MacBook Pro instead. lol

My computer (ThinkPad X1 Carbon 7, 4K Display, Intel(R) UHD Graphics (620)) gets the same issue.

I also observe that whenever I switch to an image processing app (i.e. MS Paint 3D, MS Photos) with an image opened therein, the image will be at first displayed in a shinked space (left half) like the wallpaper posted in the first post in this thread, and is then stretched to the full space as normal.

I guess these issues are caused by the Intel graphics driver.
