Tablet not charging

Was that update done for the Operating System or for some other software? Batteries that are not charging correctly as they used to, could be an indication of a hardware issue. It may be best to contact your tablet manufacturer so they can also check out the unit further. I guess it could be an intermittent hardware problem. I don't understand why the battery charging indicator shows its charging then stops. That is the one on the Home screen it always go's for exactly 5 cycles and then stops.   Could that be normal? I went to the window mobility center and that shows plugged in and charging, the battery shows its at 2 %. then after a minute the tablet shots down,I assume due to low battery. For the last week there has been no problem. The tablet is set to sleep after 5 hours for both battery power and plugged in. Every time for the last week when turned on it has a 95% to 100% charge. Just today When I turned it on it was at 21% and slowly lost its charge until it shuts down.

I was finally able to resolve. I was looking for a reset button when I noticed that the tablet case was not securely closed. I pressed all around until I heard a substantial "click" and everything has been working fine since ( over a month) thanks for your suggestions.
