System restore deleted

Can anybody tell me does system restore point automatically deleted if they exceed the amount of space which I set or is it normal they get deleted.

Restore points are automatically deleted in three circumstances:

1- When you have more restore points than the amount of disk space allocated to hold them, the earliest restore points are deleted.

2- Restore points are automatically deleted once they reach a certain age, since it wouldn't be a good idea to restore a restore point that is too old. I'm afraid I don't know what the age is or how it is determined.

3- All existing restore points are automatically deleted after Windows Update installs a new feature update.

Preparation is the nemesis of failure.

Hi Soumyadeep
Thanks for reaching out! My name is Jiyas. I'll be glad to help you today.

Yes, it is normal for system restore points to be automatically deleted if they exceed the amount of space you set. This is because System Restore uses a limited amount of disk space to store restore points. When that space fills up, Windows will automatically delete older restore points to make room for newer ones.
