System micro-jamming 1-2 seconds after a few weeks

Hello microsoft community.

My problem is quite annoying, because for a good few weeks now I have noticed a micro jamming of the whole system.

This problem occurs whether I am using while working, walk away to the hardware, when I turn on a game, while playing a game, while using a browser and so on. I could list all the activities and there is unfortunately this problem.

No error message I have not received if anyone would like to know.

I will describe what it looks like:

I turn on windows 11 log in and I can use the hardware and whether I fire up anything (such as a browser or a game and even while using the system) there is a micro stutter or stuttering you can call it that lasts from 1 to 2 max 3 seconds after which the problem disappears.

This case stutters the whole system, along with the sound unfortunately.

I have up to date graphics drivers, AMD chipset also, up to date windows 11, screen drivers also, BIOS also up to date.

I really don't know where this problem is coming from, I'm betting that tpm 2.0 may be causing it, but as I said before I've never had to deal with it, so I'm taking this tpm 2.0 aspect as the final cause if nothing helps.

I hope you guys can help, because I also plan to report the issue to AMD and NVIDIA, but I started contacting you guys first (possibly the manufacturer I can too, but I think they might not be able to help with that and would refer me to you guys)

I send a screenshot of the hardware information. (I will give a link later, because I can't paste the picture)

Have a nice day :)

(I gave the topic 'performance and system errors because it fits my situation best)

UPD: I forgot to add that this micro jamming/stuttering can last from 1 to a dozen times for 24 hours each day.

Hello ,

Good to see you in Microsoft Community.

Based on the information you provided, it seems like you have already updated your drivers and Windows 11 to the latest version. However, there are a few more things you can try to resolve the issue:

  1. Run a virus scan: Sometimes, malware or viruses can cause system performance issues. You can perform a system scan with Microsoft Safety Scanner to further confirm system security. Visit Microsoft Safety Scanner Download(microsoft.com) to download the scan tool and run it to scan your system.

    How to run a scan

    1. Download this tool and open it.

    2. Select the type of scan that you want to run and start the scan.

    3. Review the scan results displayed on screen. For detailed detection results, view the log at %SYSTEMROOT%\debug\msert.log.

Visit How to troubleshoot an error when you run the Microsoft Safety Scanner for more details.

Disclaimer: Running Microsoft Safety Scanner can help you check if the system is disturbed or if malicious software exists. To avoid any trouble for you, please follow them step-by-step and back up all your personal files first to ensure you do not lose data.

  2. Check for background processes: Check if there are any background processes running that might be causing the issue. Press Ctrl + Shift + Esc to open Task Manager and check the CPU and memory usage of each process.

  3. Check for overheating: Overheating can cause performance issues. Check if your system is overheating by monitoring the temperature using a software.

  4. You may Perform a clean boot (microsoft.com) to see if it is normal, this is a troubleshooting step. In this mode, we can further confirm whether it is caused by system problem or third-party software or personalized settings. So, please be patient.

Disclaimer: A “clean boot” starts Windows with a minimal set of drivers and startup programs. It helps to determine whether a background program is interfering with your game or program and to isolate the cause of a problem.

These steps of "clean boot" might look complicated at first glance. However, to avoid any trouble for you, please follow them in order and step-by-step so that it will help you get you back on track.

If anything is unclear, please do not hesitate to let me know.

Best Regards,

Mosken_L - MSFT | Microsoft Community Support Specialist

Thank you for your advice, in a few days I will test your suggestions and let you know what results they brought.

Regards :)

I will also notify to AMD and NVIDIA, because there is also a possibility that someone from them is responsible for this.

UPD: I will remove the screenshot because you know I have up-to-date everything.

Today there was a bios update dated December 1, 2023 from the manufacturer's website and I have a big problem.

Windows update installed the bios with version F.32 on October 26, 2023, and the manufacturer released for the same version also, even though it is on windows 10, but the bios always updated like this.

Obraz

Should I address this request to the equipment manufacturer?

Can you provide the specific model of your computer? The HP Pavilion Gaming series includes many different models, and you don't need to worry about privacy concerns as this information is publicly available. I can do further investigation based on this information. Or you can visit Checking for a BIOS update using HP Support Assistant | HP® Support and follow the steps in there to try to update the BIOS (if there is an update available).

Additionally, please note that there may be differences in the latest BIOS versions supported by Windows 10 and Windows 11 systems. Therefore, I will primarily focus on BIOS updates and other driver updates applicable to Windows 11.

Looking forward to your reply!

I thought you couldn't give names, so I'll give them to you then.

HP Pavilion - 15-ec1032nw

As you said, I will visit HP support tomorrow and ask what they think, because I would update, but unfortunately with the same version he installed Windows update as I said earlier. and that support is available on Windows 10 and unfortunately not on 11, but after reviewing the files, BIOS update sizes, etc., I think I could do it, but it's best to ask HP about this issue.

I visited the support page for your device model, Windows 11, and found that HP officially provides a hardware diagnostic tool. You can give it a try: HP Pavilion Gaming - 15-ec1032nw Software and Driver Downloads | HP® Support

Additionally, I found on that page that HP released a firmware update for Western Digital SSDs in January of this year. If you are using a Western Digital SSD, you can install this update.

Also, have you tried the clean boot provided in my initial reply, or did it go anywhere?

In the meantime, it's a good idea to seek further technical support from your computer's manufacturer, hope your problem will be solved soon!

thank you for the information, I will try the tips you gave, unfortunately a clean boot does not help.

The problem of micro-jamming is caused by the TPM 2.0 error in Ryzen processors, and since the windows update bios installed a different bios, I discovered that the AGESA microbios version is ridiculous (1.0.0.b), which I have to update and as for the disk software, I have to download it from the manufacturer from Intel , Because I havesuch a disk.

I appreciate your work, AMD and NVIDIA gave up, but I will receive a response from HP on Monday, because they are not working on the weekend.

Today I will update the bios because I sat for hours and read that it is not dependent on the operating system.

I installed the Intel disk software and it succeeded, while the bios I took from windows 10 latest updated but unfortunately as it turned out later did not benefit. Unfortunately it is the same bios as windows update installed, while the second problem I think it is the same two versions of F.32 and from windows update F.32 and I decide to write to HP on this matter another what can be done in such a situation.

I had plenty of time today so I did a clean boot and so far nothing is showing up for the tpm 2.0 error

On the other hand, when I came to a conclusion I saw this

That is, theoretically it would agree what windows update has installed, while tomorrow I will know if there is no microstuttering in clean boot

Overall a clean boot has helped for now. I didn't feel any jams or anything.

You will need to determine what process is responsible for this.
