Stupid S Mode

I just bougth a new laptop.

Comes with Windows 11 Pro.

It is in S Mode, I want to get rid of it (like every sane person).

I cannot. It says that my Microsoft account is not existing. By the way, the same microsoft account I used to login. The same microsoft account I use to work every day.

It is a work computer. I am the IT admin. That is kind of anoying.

I do the steps, Windows + I, activation, microsoft store, "Get" button, enter my credentials-> "microsoft account does not exist". I'm stuck.

How can I get rid of S Mode?

Hello! My name is Renzo and welcome to Microsoft Community.

I'm sorry to hear that you are experiencing this issue and I'll be happy to help you out. Windows 11 in S mode is only available for Home Edition. Pro, Enterprise, or Education editions of Windows do not have an S mode. S mode also cannot use a work account to change it to normal mode.

I would suggest for you to try and use a personal Microsoft Account first to get out of S mode before adding your Work Account again on your computer.

You can do this by signing out from Settings > Accounts > Access Work or School > Restart your computer > Sign in with a Microsoft Account in Settings > Accounts. Then work on going out of S mode again.

Let me know the results. Thank you.
