Stuck On Recovery Mode, Windows Wont Boot

Hello,

So I was trying to download something but I clicked on the wrong download and then it started downloading a bunch of different things. I wanted to factory reset my computer because it wouldn't let me delete anything and I had nothing important on my computer so it was fine. But then it found an error and went to the recovery page. Whenever I try to factory reset my computer or completely delete everything it works but then it says "undoing changes" and I cant do anything.

I don't have any saved points to bring my computer to. It wont let me boot safe mode or anything. If I somehow end up fixing my computer I will get a safe point but even if this happens again it would probably say "cant boot into windows" or something like that.

Wont let me boot windows. Any time I try booting anything windows/safe mode it just shows a gray screen and its not a monitor problem its just that the virus downloaded a bunch of different things and my computer can't handle it (I think or that's what I am guessing)

Please help me I have tried everything and I don't have a windows key on my keyboard so I cant press the windows button to do a command so that also sucks. Please help me.

Hi, I am Dave, I will help you with this.

A Windows reset can sometimes result in a corrupt operating system ty using this method to perform another Windows reset:

Start your PC, just as Windows attempts to load (spinning dots), press and hold Power Button for 5 - 10 seconds to perform a Hard Shut Down

Do this twice

On the third start Windows will boot into the Recovery Environment and from there you can access System Repair, Safe Mode, Command Prompt... etc.

Go to Troubleshoot - Advanced Options - Reset this PC
Choose to keep your files and apps, just your files or to keep nothing
Then start the Reset

If that is not working for you, your recovery image is corrupt, the best option then is to create a bootable Windows USB on an empty 8GB USB flash drive on another working PC, then use that to clean install Windows, that will also create a new recovery image on your drive.

Click this link:

to download the Media Creation Tool (Click on Download Tool Now), with that you can create a bootable USB flash drive (min 8GB) using that tool

Then, Boot your PC from the Installation Media you just created (change Boot Order in your BIOS) to begin installing Windows 11

During the installation process skip the steps which ask for a product key and select the option 'I am Reinstalling Windows 11 on this PC', and activation will not be an issue.
