start-up screen

I love the pictures that appear when I switch-on my laptop, before the desktop. Can you include a description of where the places are please?
Hi Tony! I'm Steve, an Independent Advisor and a Windows user like you. I'm happy to help with your query.

There's a great article here which contains a few methods to get the geographical location of lock screen images: https://www.winhelponline.com/blog/location-whe...

Please let me know if I can be of any further assistance!

Well that was interesting, but my screen does not show any of the bits and pieces that the link says I should click-on. How do I get those?

Just to verify, do you have "Windows Spotlight" set as your lock screen background?

Well, having read that, I'm not sure. Here's a picture of what I get when switched-on: It looks like the example, but without the bits to click-on.

Now worries. You can check your settings at step 3 in option 1 below to see if your lock screen is set to show Windows Spotlight.

Thanks for that. I did what you suggested, and it has made no difference! However, I discovered along the way that if I key win L it brings up the other bits and tells me what the picture is. So my needs have been met!
