SSD Missing After Windows 11 Re-Install

HP Pavilion All-In-One was having issues so I reinstalled Windows 11 using the HP Cloud Recovery Tool. Computer is back up and running, but I notice that the SSD is missing from File Explorer and Device Manager. Processor is an Intel 12, which I was reading can be the issue. Is there any way to get it back? Windows was originally installed on that HD, and so I'm hoping all my files are still hanging out there.

Hi, I am Dave, I will help you with this.

1
Boot your PC into BIOS, are you able to see that drive in the list of drives in the system configuration settings?

2
After re-installing Windows, the best option may be to go to the support page for your system on the HP website, then from there, download and re-install the version of Intel Chipset drivers they provide to see if that gets Windows seeing the drive.

Thanks for the response! So the (good?) news is that I see the HD in BIOS, and since Windows is still installed on there, both hard drives can be selected as bootable devices. The WDC is the one I'm running right now with the fresh install.

Thank you for the image, that is good, also I see Intel RST is enabled in your BIOS, check if you have the Intel RST app installed in Windows, if not, go to the support page for your system on the manufacturers website, then form either the Chipset section or Storage section, download and install the Intel RST drivers.

Went to the HP website and found the RST Driver under the Driver-Storage section. When I downloaded and unpacked it, there were a few applications which I ran, but nothing seemed to happen. I also tried to manually load any drivers in that folder through Device Manager, but that didn't do anything either. Then I went to the Intel site and downloaded a driver straight from there (Intel® Rapid Storage Technology Driver Installation Software with Intel® Optane™ Memory (12th to 13th Gen Platforms). Installed that, restarted the PC and still nothing.

The version of Intel RST available on the Intel website will most likely not be compatible with your motherboard, it would be best to use the version provided by your system manufacturer.

Right click your Start Button and open Disk Management, please provide a screenshot of that window showing all drives in the bottom pane.

Boot your system into BIOS, find the SATA Mode setting, what is that set to and what options are available.
