SSD drive one partion not accessible

I am using window 10 and suddenly one partition (E partion) i am not able to access. I plugged in  ssd drive to my USB port to check after that  this problem stated. It displayed E:\ is not accessible.  A device which does not exist was specified. When I right click on this drive  the properties shows this drive has 270 GB free and 198 GB used. How can I recover the data from this drive?

Hi,
Since the chkdsk is showing as RAW for SSD disk partition so I would suggest you follow the below two methods one by one to fix the issue.

Method 1:
Step 1:
Right-click on the RAW partition E: from Windows explorer and then choose Properties from the popup list.

Step 2:
Then choose Tools from the Properties interface. Next, please click on the "Check" button under Error-checking to continue.

If you will get an error message like this: This disk check could not be performed because the disk is not formatted. Would you like to format the disk then just cancel it and proceed to the below method.

Method 2:
Step 1:
Go to Search box next to Windows icon and type CMD

Step 2:
Right-click on Command Prompt and select Run As Administrator

Step 3:
Then type convert e: /fs:ntfs and press enter

If you will receive an error message like this: CONVERT is not available for RAW drives then it is impossible to convert RAW to NTFS without losing data command prompt.

Let me know the status after performing the above.

First method failed. I get a message "we haven't found any errors on this drive. You can still scan drive for error" when I scan it displays " there was a problem scanning the drive:.

Second method as you have mentioned I got " concert not available for this drive"

This drive is SSD. Is there any difference between this drive and hard disk drives in solving this problem?

Hi,
Since the second method displayed convert not possible so you have to use third-party tools to recover the data first and format drive to use it as normal.

One of the third-party tools conversion steps is mentioned in the below article.

https://www.easeus.com/format-recovery/convert-...

With respect to your query, there is no difference in solutions between SSD and HDD in solving your issue for drive partition with no accessible error.

Let me know if anything else I can assist you with.
