Hi Jacek,

Thank you for posting in Microsoft Community. We are glad that you have choose Windows 10. But it was unfortunate that you end up with this situation. Let me help you resolve the issue.

The module sqlunirl.dll is a Structured Query Language (SQL) Enterprise Components Module belonging to Microsoft SQL Server Check manufactured by Microsoft Corporation. This application extension is designed to run under Windows Operating Systems.

If Microsoft SQL server is installed on the computer, then this error may occur due to corruption of these files. I would suggest you to run the System File Checker (SFC) scan to fix any corrupt system files.

Please click on the below link to perform SFC Scan,

I hope the information was helpful. Please get back to us if you have any doubts. We will be happy to assist you further.

Thank you

Very generic answer,  tried it and didn't fix the problem.  I have seen hundreds of people looking for the answer to this problem, I have it on two computers.  Both occurred right after upgrading to Win10!  How about a little more help on this?

Hi Willard,

Before taking the hassle of finding another copy, I would suggest you to run the Deployment Image Servicing and Management (DISM) tool and then check for the issue.

  1. Open an elevated command prompt. Press WinKey + X, click Command Prompt (Admin).
  2. Type the following command, and then press Enter. It may take several minutes for the command operation to be completed.
    dism.exe /online /cleanup-image /scanhealth
  3. After you get message “The operation completed successfully” type second command and press enter. It will take some time to finish.
    dism.exe /online /cleanup-image /restorehealth
Important: When you run this command, DISM uses Windows Update to provide the files that are required to fix corruptions.

Reboot your computer, check for the issue and post back your results for further assistance.

I see your comment today.

I got the original file in another computer with Windows 7.

Can give me your email to send you the file?

I don't know if this behavior goes against the rules of the site.

Saludos.

Thank you for your kind offer.  I have an old copy of file.  I was hoping that Microsoft would get involved and fix the issue.  It has occurred on 5 of my computers.
