sound recording not working, Win11

Out of the blue i can get no sounds going in to record ie; via stereo mix, microphone and usb codec ,have done all suggested things , driver delete and reinstall, plus all sound settings correct. Even tried system restore !! Stuck on what else to do ? Never had this trouble with Win 10,much simpler sound settings.

If it is a laptop or desktop, if possible, could you provide the laptop model or your desktop configuration?

To see the model, you can type msinfo32.exe in the Windows search bar, open the search for the baseboard product and enter it here.

Set the Speakers as primary, do a test and see in recording mode if the stereo mix has sound activity.
