[SOLVED] When signing into account on PC Xbox app, login silently fails and keeps asking for password

Here's a video of the issue: https://youtu.be/ot56J4obeqw

I'm trying to sign in to the PC Xbox app with a new account I've created. After inputting the password, it says it's going to set up Windows Hello. I know that at this point it should pop up and ask me for my PIN, but it never does. Instead it just goes back to the password screen, endlessly.

I can sign in to this account on microsoft.com with no problems.

I've tried looking for solutions to this issue, but I only found this post with no solutions:
https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/xbox/forum/all/cant-sign-in-into-xbox-app/e858f319-8585-479e-a362-e3e2337dfe31

I have also tried removing the Windows Hello PIN from my PC. In that case the login skips that step and immediately starts looping the password screen.

I have no pending updates in Windows Update.

I have tried reinstalling the Xbox app.

I got it working by doing these steps! https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/xbox/forum/all/unable-to-sign-in/c35b68df-a80b-4a8f-9815-95ff3db7b306

1. Go to Credential Manager > Windows Credentials (not the Web option), select XblGrts|DeviceKey and remove.

2. Go to Settings > Accounts > Email & accounts. Select your account with the issue and verify that the ‘Apps need to ask me to use this account’ setting is enabled. This would especially help if you have multiple accounts as you would have the option to choose the correct account on startup, but you can always change it back to the automatic option if you prefer. You can also try to remove the account from here and re-add it later.

3. Follow this file path: C:\Users\[Your Username]AppData\Local\Packages\Microsoft.XboxIdentityProvider_cw5n1h2txyewy\AC\TokenBroker

Delete the Accounts and Cache folders, which will be deleted from the Xbox Identity Provider

Note that the highlighted code in this file path depends on your system so may vary.

If you don’t see a particular folder, then confirm there’s no search filters applied and select ‘show hidden items’, or you can just search for the folder in the search bar.

Restart your PC after trying the above steps, so that these properly take effect next time you sign in. It may also help to then reset and repair and/or uninstall and reinstall the Xbox apps where this error occurs.

Please try these steps:
Download the media creator tool from here : https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/software-downlo...
Install it on your system and run it.
When asked click on upgrade this PC Now.
Follow the steps on the tool and it should replace any missing or corrupt files with new ones without deleting anything on your system. This should hopefully resolve this issue.
