Solved: Bluetooth Mouse randomly disconnects in Windows 10

Brand new Dell XPS laptop with brand new Microsoft Arc Touch Mouse and Windows 10.  Everything paired up fine, but frequently, the mouse would just stop working.  Turning the mouse off and then on would fix it until the next disconnect.  Happened every minute or two, really frustrating.

The solution was to uncheck the "Allow computer to turn off this device to save power" box under the "Power Management" tab of the "Intel(R) Wireless Bluetooth(R)" device under Device Manager>Bluetooth

Just FYI.

This was helpful. I forgot about that power setting.

Hopefully this stops my mouse issues.

Thanks, this worked for me too.  After a Windows 10 update yesterday my Arc BT mouse suddenly kept freezing every few minutes, unchecking the power save feature stopped the issue.

Regrettably, this has not fixed my problem which only just started after months of no problems with a Dell Inspiron 13 and two different bluetooth mice.

The mouse connects at startup, then shortly, the mouse buttons stop working while the cursor remains active. The mouse then soon unpairs itself, and the tap, left and right buttons on the touchpad also stop repsonding. Eventually, only touching on the screen works.

i have unistalled and reinstalled the mouse and restarted the laptop several times, always with the same result. I downloaededtwo new Dell updates today, but the problem began before this.

I would be grateful for help in troubleshooting this problem.

It seems the issue is in the mouse itself and some poor electronic design.

I changed the mouse a for a more recent one and all seems good now. Bluetooth is sharing frequencies with some Wifi hotspots and some devices are not run well in a noisy environment.

I uninstalled Logitech Options and it worked fine. Seemed like it was causing the mouse to stay in a power on / off loop for some reason. You lose the ability to use the customized options though...........

Hi DeborahP, as the below user suggested (DietrichGeorge), uninstalling Logitech Options seems to have resolved my bluetooth devices cutting in and out.
