Hello,
Please open a Command Prompt window (as admin) and type the following commands:
diskpart
list disk
sel disk # (where # is the disk number of your internal hard drive, not the portable hard drive)
list vol (take note of the volume letter of your internal hard drive.)
exit
bcdboot vol:\Windows (where vol is the letter of the internal hard drive you noted down).
After you run these, restart your computer and then see if Windows on your internal hard drive boots. If you would like, after you run bcdboot, you can add the entry that you just added last (so in case it doesn't work, Windows will automatically boot to the portable SSD). To do this, type in bcdedit. Copy and paste the id (which are found in curly brackets) of the portable Windows installation, and then type in bcdedit /default {id} (where {id} is the id of the portable Windows installation).
Hope this helps, and if you have any questions, don't hesitate to reach out!

When i attempt to run "bcdboot C:\Windows" it says Failure when attempting to copy boot files, also the bootable ssd has another copy of windows 10 if you want to know. Edit: i attempted to run 'bcdedit /createstore' and it says The requested system device cannot be identified due to multiple indistinguishable devices potentially matching the identification criteria.

Hello,
Could you kindly attach screenshots of the commands that were listed above?
Also, if you can access the internal SSD from the portable Windows installation, it might be better to get everything off the internal drive and then reset/install Windows to it.
Hope to hear back from you.

Hello,
When you do bcdedit /createrestore, it's erroring out because you haven't specified what identifier (operating system) to use. Try running bcdedit by itself, and then copy the identifier (click and drag from open curly brace to closed curly brace) then run bcdedit /createrestore {identifier} (the string of numbers and curly braces that you copied earlier).
Hope to hear back from you.
