Snip minimising

Every time I do a snip with the snipping tool, the program minimises so that I have to click it again to reopen it to save the snip. How do I stop it doing this. Never happened on W10.

Running W11, 22H2, build 22621.1265

Any help appreciated.

Hello,

My name is Hanem, an independent advisor, and I'm here to help you.

I'm sorry that you are experiencing this issue, and I will try my best to assist you.

I suggest since you know this problem is cussed by an update please check and see if you can use have available system restore to restore it to a point before the update.

You can do that by getting help from this link.
Note: the system restore section is at the end of the page, click the down arrow and proceed with it.

https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/rec...

After that before doing anything please go to Dell driver support to update Bios and drivers first, and proceed to download support assist it will automatically check all the drivers and updates and will install it. You can do this part before the system restores or after.

This is not caused by an update, I have had this problem for a long time. Have done repair and reset, nothing changes. Reading some of the other posts it seems that it is an MS fault, not my PC.

This problem is due to the windows update, everyone is complaining about this problem. The following steps worked for several individuals.

If you don’t want the snipping tool to be minimized please perform the following steps.

* START
* SETTINGS
* APPS
* INSTALLED APPS
* Click on the ... by Snipping Tool
* Click on Advanced Options
* Under BACKGROUND APPS PERMISSIONS
* Click Never

If the issue still persists you have two option to perform the first one is to delete windows updates and run windows in previous version which I do not recommend the second option is to submit a feedback to Microsoft directly so hopefully it will get fixed in the upcoming update.

Tried that, doesn't make any difference. Thanks for your help, but I will now go with 3rd party tool, as I suspect many others have already done, as MS obviously isn't going to fix the flaw.
