Slow BIOS Boot Time on Dell G3 3500

Hello Everyone,

I'm experiencing unusually long BIOS boot times on my Dell G3 3500 laptop. Despite reinstalling Windows on my NVMe SSD, the issue persists. My system has a dual-storage setup (HDD + SSD). The last BIOS Time is 33.2 seconds.

So far, I have:

  • Reset BIOS settings to default

  • Updated the BIOS firmware to the latest version

  • Installed a new genuine battery (previously suspected it might be battery-related)

  • Fresh OS Installation

  • Unchecked unnecessary Boot Devices (Network and HDD) sequences.

Despite these efforts, the boot time remains slow. Does anyone have any suggestions on what might be causing this or possible fixes?

Also, I thought it was a graphic driver issue therefore, I just thought to do a clean installation so I still have not installed an updated graphic driver.

I checked EventViewer but there are no issues.

Thanks in advance!

Hi,

BIOS boot time does not depend on Windows. So please check your PC in a service center. Maybe it will be enough just reset BIOS.
