showing blue screen on windows camera app

Good day, my camera only show blue screen after i update my windows 10 pro... so i change my mind and go back to windows 8.1 pro .. but im shock my camera still showing me blue screen.. i reinstalled the driver of my camera and try if its gonna work but nothing changed - its still show me blue screen. its really annoying because before i upgrade OS to win 10 my camera still usable but now its not.

  • Do you get any error message along with Bluescreen error?
  • What is the model number of the webcam?

Please try the methods below and check.

Method 1: I would suggest you to run hardware and troubleshooter. 


a. Press “Windows Key + R”, type Control Panel.  
b. Then type “Troubleshooter” in the Search box and hit Enter.  
c .Select “Hardware and Sound” from the Troubleshooter Window.  
d. Select “Hardware and Devices”. 

 

Method 2: I would suggest you to download and install latest driver for the webcam from manufacturer website and check if it helps.

hi thank you for the reply. i try those to method. but still blue screen appears ... there's no error shown when i open the window camera app,camera can still take a picture,record a video.
