Setting Drive D as Default save area for Apps

need help with selecting default drives to store apps

on the storage tab in the main settings , there is an option to change where new content is saved. the default is Disk C for me, however there is not enough space to save a game called Ark from the new Xbox App Store. in order to download this game I need to select Drive D as my default storage for apps.

However after selecting drive D a prompt asks me "this drive has apps from another device . to use this drive the other apps must first be deleted . do you want to continue"

I select yes and get a second popup "the operation did not complete successfully. try again in a bit. the error code is 0x80070005, in case you need it". I have tried everything and have been on remote assistance with windows support for around 16 hour in total trying to solve this. I have done everything from change the name of program files to re-install windows, pls help :(

Answer
Cory, if that doesn't work then this could be due to Account corruption.

Test this by creating a new Local Admin account in Settings > Accounts > Family & Other People > Other, as shown here: http://www.howtogeek.com/226540/how-to-create-a...

Sign into the new account, test if the problem persists, if not then move your files over, test that all programs work or else reinstall them, then when ready delete the old account in the same place by one of these methods:

You can then change it to your Microsoft account if desired:
