Hello
Earlier today, I tried to open Discord, and it didn't work. I checked Task Manager, and it showed there were no Discord processes running.
After restarting my PC, Discord would still not open, so I tried reinstalling.
Reinstalling led to me discovering an error
"Installation Has Failed
There was an error while installing the application. Check the setup log for more information and contact the author."
Checking the setup log shows "First run or local directory is corrupt, starting from scratch" and then a log of trying to install the files, before the log cuts off in the middle of installing the files. After following Discords instructions (deleting Discord from %appdata% and %localappdata%) and reinstalling still not working, I decided to run sfc /scannow.
sfc /scannow says that there were corrupt files found but they were unable to be fixed. I checked the CBS log and it says that 3 .dll files are missing, and the files could not be reprojected because the source file in store is also corrupted.
I ran DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /ScanHealth, and it got to 90% before stating:
"Error: 605
The specified buffer contains ill-formed data."
Checking the DISM logs showed that DISM failed finalizing changes, processing package changes, to restore the image health, while processing command cleanup-image, and DISM Package Manager processed the command line but failed.
I've tried a clean boot, which has not worked. I tried to download an ISO, but when I did, it said that I needed 8GB of free space, and all 3 of the drives I have are able to use 8GB of space. What do I do?
I'm at my wits end here, and I would really appreciate some help!
