sandbox issue 0x80072746

Hello,

I am experiencing an issue with Windows Sandbox.

I receive the following error message: "The connection to the Sandbox environment has been lost. An existing connection was forcibly closed by the remote host (0x80072746)."

I have attempted several troubleshooting steps, such as running , resetting the network stack, and verifying services, but the problem persists.

Could you please provide assistance or guidance to resolve this issue?

Thank you for your support!

Try to disable vGPU from Group Policy.

Open gpedit.msc, go to "Computer Configuration > Administrative Templates > Windows Components > Windows Sandbox"

and set to "Disable" the following option:

"Allow vGPU sharing for Windows Sandbox"

Then restart and re-try

Hi Alvise,
thank you again for your support and expertise regarding the Sandbox configuration.

I wanted to bring up an additional issue I’ve encountered: my integrated webcam does not appear to function within the Windows Sandbox environment. I have verified the privacy settings and activation options, and everything seems to be configured correctly. Additionally, I’m not receiving any error messages related to the webcam.

Interestingly, both the speakers and microphone work perfectly fine within Sandbox—it’s only the webcam that refuses to activate.

Could you please provide any suggestions or solutions to address this? I appreciate your time and help as always.
