Samsung SCX 4521F driver for Windows 10

Hi, I am using Windows 10 and want to connect my Samsung SCX 4521F Printer but it is not working.

When I try to install the driver I get the following error: 0x800f024b and than it says something about a Hashvalue that is not contained in the catalogue.

On the Samsung Download page there are only drivers up to Windows 8.

Thanks for helping

Philip

Hi Philip,

Thank you for posting your query in Microsoft Community.

The latest drivers might not be available so, I would suggest you install the latest drivers available from the manufacturer’s website, install it in compatibility mode. Compatibility mode runs the program using settings from a previous version of Windows. Follow these steps to install the drivers in compatibility mode and check if that helps.

  • Download the latest drivers from the manufacturer’s website.

  • Right-click on the driver setup file and click on ‘Properties’.

  • Click on the ‘Compatibility’ tab and check the box ‘Run this program in compatibility mode for’ and select Windows 8/8.1 operating system from the drop down menu and proceed with the installation. Once this is done, restart the computer and check if the issue persists.

I hope this helps to fix your issue. If the issue still persists get back to us, we will be glad to assist you further.

Thank & Regards,

SuJata Moktan.

Hi,

compatibility mode does not work. Still get the same error mentioned above.

One of the downsides of upgrading to Windows 10.

Hello,

Try the methods below and check if it helps.

You may run the Printer troubleshooter and restart the computer to check if this helps.

* Press “Windows key + X” to click on “Control Panel”.

* Click on “Troubleshooting” and click on “View all”.

Click on “Printer” to run the troubleshooter. Once this is done, restart the computer and check if this helps.

Hi Sujata Moktan,

I have exactly the same issue as PhilipSvetlik had. I have a SAMSUNG 4521F printer which I have been using very effectively with win7. When I upgraded to win10, it would not work, as the printer and scanner drivers need to be updated. I have followed your advice to PhilipSvetlik, but still just get the message "Publisher (in this case SAMSUNG) has been blocked from running the software."

I have followed the following advice which you gave Philip...

But this did not work. Any other advice as to how I can get the SAMSUNG SCX4521F printer & scanner to work with windows 10?
