Ripping CD to Windows Media Player

I'm trying to rip a cd but I keep getting this message: Windows Media Player cannot rip one or more tracks from the CD. I have ripped 6 others without incident.

Hi, and thanks for reaching out. My name is Miguel O., Sorry to hear you're experiencing this issue!

"The cause of a failure ripping is various. we can troubleshoot by the following methods.

Windows Media Player app

Start Windows Media Player > Go to Help > Check for updates…. > A window pops up and displays whether your program needs an update > Check and update your app to the latest version.

Unavailable Locations

Start Windows Media Player >Click on Organize > Manage Libraries, then click on Music > Once you see the Music Library Locations window, select the unavailable location and then click Remove it > Next, click Apply to save the changes. [It’s recommended that you set Windows Media Player’s own Music library folder as the default location.]

3. Filenames

Make sure to check that the names of your files do not contain any useless characters, punctuations, or symbols.

4. Corrupted Media Library

Inside the Windows Media Player window, right-click on a free space where the ribbon should be. Next, choose Tools > Advanced > Restore media library > Click OK to confirm the operation.

5. Disabled Error Correction

Inside Windows Media player, right-click on a free space where the ribbon should be and select Tools > Options > Go to the Devices tab and select your CD/DVD writer (the one that you want to use to rip your music files). > With the writer selected, click the Properties menu > Enable Digital for both Playback and Rip > Check the box associated with Use error connection > Click Apply to save the changes."
