Resetting Asus windows laptop, it is now stuck in infinite restart

Hi,

I wanted to factory reset my laptop so followed the steps to reset if given on the page where I chose the option to remove all data. The reset process went fine but now when reinstalling the Windows 10, it got stuck after 3% and just keeps on restarting the laptop.. it has been going on for over 2 hours now. I don’t know what to do.

EDIT: I just forced it close and started it again and now its stuck at 64% reinstallation.

It is still restarting on a loop. How long will this process take?

Hi, mamuna. Thanks for reaching out! I'm an Independent Advisor and a Microsoft user like you, and I am here to work with you on this issue.

If the installations got stuck, there's not a lot of options other the reboot the computer and see if it'll resume. If not, you're gonna have to prepare a Windows installation disc or USB stick on another computer to use it on the first one. If that's the case, I can help you with the steps.

But try rebooting it first, ok?

I hope this helps! Please let me know if that works for you, ok?

Thank you for the quick response,

I tried rebooting it but it didn’t help besides showing that it has reached 64% reinstalled. It is still continuing to restart on a loop. I don’t know if I should consider this as a progress.

Wait a little bit longer, let's see if it'll fix by itself.
But in case it doesn't, let me know so I'll guide you through the other method I've mentioned.

I'm sorry, mamuna. But in this case you're gonna need to prepare a Windows installation disc or USB stick on another computer to use it on the first one.

Refer to this guide to do so:

Try using the most recent version of Media Creator Tool (first link below). If think somehow you got an outdated version:

You should try to close your antivirus solution. It might be blocking something, as shoed on screen.
