While that is not recommended, you can use this guide to disable the sign-in options during login,

NOTE: This might prove to be a security risk, so please proceed with caution.

Hello,

Please follow these steps:

1. Press Windows key + R, type netplwiz and click OK.

2. In User Accounts dialog box, uncheck the box next to 'Users must enter a user name and password to use this computer'. Then click OK button.

3. To ensure the operation is authorized, you are required to enter and confirm your password. Enter Password and Confirm Password, then click OK button.

4. Restart your PC then you can log in without using a password.

Even though this box is unclicked, it acts as if it is.

Hi John,

I tried doing this on my laptop, but it gave me a message that said I have to create an administrator's account. Why? I am the only person who uses my laptop. Do I have to do this? It sounds convoluted.

I struggle with MS Intention Tremors and sometimes am unable to correctly input the password. I want to be able to use my laptop untethered.

Please help me. Thank you!

Linda Ann

I had enough of signing into my own computer and laptop when trying to go to my emails. Please stop this I can't stand it anymore. It's a big slowdown and interference. I don't need all the security for this.

I too have the same problem. I am using Version 23H2 OS Build 22631.2861.
When I follow the advice given by John Dev I do not see the "Users must enter a username and password to use this computer" check box.
Does anyone have any other advice on this.

Just want a regular password to log in to a desktop going nowhere PC without Microsoft sticking their oar in before I can do anything. Despite repeatedly selecting don't ask next time I still have to use their authenticator app before I can do anything!
