Remove Microsoft Edge and return my default browser of Chrome

Hi there,

Windows update forced downloaded.... I DO NOT WANT THIS AUTOMATICALLY UPDATING FYI..

Biggest issue is that you have now forced the new microsoft edge on me and this has stopped google chrome from being my default browser. I DO NOT WANT MICROSOFT EDGE!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I cannot select Google Chrome as my default any more AS YOU HAVE REMOVED IT FROM THE LIST AND ONLY MADE THE CHROME PAID HELP APPS AVAILABLE. You need to resolve this! PATHETIC!!!!

Hi Steve,

I just just requested you to do that if this will make difference when the default app setting will be coming from Chrome itself. But as you mentioned it was still the same. I've seen same problem as yours raised by other users and they said the problem got fixed after reinstalling Chrome.

Thank you.

Hi Steve,

I understand what you are feeling right now and apologies if its not working as expected. This might be due to technical issues happened in the background like loading web browser app or issues in recognizing the installed apps. I'm sharing you some of the steps to take in getting back Chrome as your default browser:

You can proceed on doing Solution 6 o& 7:

I did not force anything on you, and neither did anyone else here.

Not to give you a hard time, but you should note that this isn't Microsoft you're addressing here; this is a peer support forum. We are all just users of this version of Windows here, helping each other if and when we can. We are not Microsoft employees (not even those of us with "Microsoft MVP" behind our names; that's an honorary title for having provided consistently helpful advice) except for an occasional Microsoft contractor or employee. If you want to complain to Microsoft about something, please contact them directly. Trying to do it here is just a waste of (figurative) breath, and clutters up the forum.
