remote desktop connection with or without password
hi all ^_^
i have a lap ( win 7 ) & PC ( win el maestro )
i'am the only 1 using the lap and the PC for all , after i created a password for the PC i tried to log in it from the lap using remote desktop connection and it worked , but At the same moment i log in from the lab the PC is getting logged of ,f and when
i write the password in the PC to log in the connection in the lab is getting an error or something like that !
but now i removed the password till i find a way to log in without having that problem
can you help me with that ?
I've read things about blank passwords and security policy and stuff it's all about logging in a computer without a password
You can do it , but I am NOT recommend it because in that case if someone have your IP Address then could access your Windows using remote desktop. And people could use IP random generator find find IP and when there is NO Password could access it . therefore
please use password and setup password to connect.
However , you could setup setting to connect with blank password :
1)go to control panel
2)administrative tools
3)look for local security policy
4)open it and look for security options
5)then in account you will see something like "Limit loca account use of blank password to console logon only
6)try to disable it and restart your PC
It should work, but as I said it might put your PC at RISK.
By design Remote Desktop requires a password in order to connect as a security measure. The Remote Desktop user ID and password are local to the computer you want to remotely access and control. The user ID must be for an adminstrator or be a member of the
Remote Desktop Users Group.
So you need to create a password for the user ID you want to login with using Remote Desktop.
Which computer is the Remote Desktop host, ie. the computer you want to remotely access/control? Its not clear from your description although I presume its the desktop.
