reinstall bluetooth drivers on Lenovo Yoga 920-13IKB Laptop with Windows 10 Home

I have a Yoga 920-13IKB Laptop (ideapad) - Type 80Y7 with Windows 10 Home. The Bluetooth – Qualcomm Atheros QCA61x4 – stopped working.  I removed it and downloaded the drivers from the Lenovo website.  The drivers are in the Drivers file on my C drive, but nothing is showing up in the Device Manager.  I did a hardware diagnostics scan and the driver update – those did  not find any problems.  My windows is updated.

Also, why the heck does my bluetooth suddenly stop working?

Thanks!

Hi BillMurphyR,

My name is Lee, I'm sorry for the inconvenience.

Before we try to run some troubleshooting, may you please check Windows Update first if there are pending updates? If so kindly download and install them first.

If there are no pending updates showing, please go to Windows + R, type this and hit enter: winver

Screenshot Windows Version and attach to your reply.

If my suggestion did not solve the issue, please reply back so we can try another solution.

Sincerely,
Lee

Windows is updated and here is the screenshot.  I ran the bluetooth troubleshooter. As a result, the bluetooth shows up in the Device Manager.  It is updated but when I right click on it and select properties it has this message: "Windows has stopped this device because it has reported problems. (Code 43)"

I have attached a screenshot of that also.

Thanks for your feedback.

Try this first and check if there is an improvement:

- Uninstall the Bluetooth Driver from the device manager
- Download and Install the Bluetooth driver from this link: https://pcsupport.lenovo.com/us/en/products/lap...

If same issue, please let me know to try other solution.

That did the trick, many thanks - but I had done that already.  Why did it work this time?  Anyhow, thanks, thanks, thanks.
