Hi Sherif

Task Manager and indeed Msconfig offer only limited control over Startup items . . .

Click the link below to download a small free utility that does not require installation

When the file downloads, unzip it.

Depending on your system, run Autoruns or Autoruns64 as Administrator

With that utility, you can right click and delete any startup item in Windows

In Autoruns, turn off Hide Microsoft & Windows entries and search for reg or reg.exe

When you find the Entry, right click and delete it

Hi,

My name is Angel. I am an Independent Advisor. Thank you for posting in Microsoft Community.

It sounds as though the program regedit has been scheduled to start up when you switch on.

Run the free Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware fromhttp://www.malwarebytes.org/ once again to ensure that you are completely free of malware.

After restarting the computer, if message still appears then try this:

1.Press Windows logo +R and type msconfig and press Enter.
2.Go to the Startup Tab and remove the tick alongside regedit.exe (there may be two of them).
3.Click Apply, OK, etc. and restart the computer.
4.When it restarts, put a tick in ‘Don‘t show this again‘.

Hope the information provided is useful. If the issue persists, reply here and we will be glad to help you.

Angel.
