Regarding a Defender firewall auto renewal email - Is it a scam?

Hello ,

I received the following email on August 13th 2020 from Microsoft team and I wanted to know whether its a genuine email from microsoft or not. I  really need help as I am touch with these people and I did what they said. Please reply and help me out asap and also help me connect with a microsoft customer care.

Well done for being suspicious, if you are in touch with them, do not pay them and if you have, immediately stop that payment with your bank

This is a well known Tech Support SCAM, they are just trying to con people into thinking they have to pay for a free service . . .

Windows Security, including Defender, the Firewall . . etc is totally free and always will be . . .
