Realtek drivers are good in sound quality and adopted by many OEM manufacturers to their motherboards including for the desktop and for notebooks - laptops too.
I would recommend you to install the customized certified driver for your laptop or desktop model, I am sharing only Generic driver in this post.
I am sharing the latest Realtek HD audio v 6.0.1.8656 which contains custom drivers codecs for respective OEM manufacturers In this driver includes all most all the audio codecs.
If you could not able to install means, then contact your system manufacturer for the updated driver
