Hello SLIME_28348 and welcome to the Microsoft Community!
Based on your feedback, you are experiencing random lags every few seconds on your PC after using a restore point.
You can try the following:
Try to repair the system:
1. Search for CMD, locate the Command Prompt and select Run as Administrator.
2. Enter the following commands one by one, making sure to execute the next command only after the previous one completes:
DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /ScanHealth
DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /CheckHealth
DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth
SFC /Scannow
3. When the scan is complete, you can check the scan information to see if any problems were detected and fixed.
Check the hard disk:
Search for cmd and run it in administrator mode
Type chkdsk c: /f
Wait for the check to complete to see if any problems have been detected and fixed.
Disclaimer: Run chkdsk to check the file system and file system metadata of the volume for logical and physical errors. To avoid causing unnecessary trouble, please follow the above steps step by step and do not interrupt or cancel during the run, and make backups of important data.
Sometimes hard disk failure can cause problems with the system in the hard disk
You can also create a new account, create a new account if there is no problem, then it means that your system files have problems
The method is as follows:
1. Search for CMD, then run it in administrator mode and enter the following command
net user USERNAME PASSWORD /add
2. After the command runs successfully, enter the following command
net localgroup administrators USERNAME /add
Note: USERNAME PASSWORD can be replaced by the account name and password you want, if you don't need the password, you can not fill in the PASSWORD.
We hope you find the above information helpful!
