I have a webcam as well as a USB HDMI capture device that I have used in the past to capture stuff onto my main PC from live streams etc. off a separate laptop. (My son is in a band and sometimes live streams from shows are streamed)
The webcam and capture device both used to show up in programs like NCH Debut and Corel Video as a webcam/video capture and I had no problem capturing the stream. Everything worked correctly 8 weeks ago but for some reason do not work now.
The devices does show up in device manager under cameras as webcam/ USB video
Under Privacy settings the “Allow desktop apps to access your camera” is selected and Debut and Corel show up as having previously used the camera.
Both devices work correctly if I use the windows camera app but not in above mentioned programs.
Corel gives the message “Unable to switch to Capture Mode, Check if your video capture driver is working properly”
(under Device manager Cameras – USB video this device is working properly).
Debut says “Failed to connect to device” after selecting webcam as source
OBS sees the webcam/ capture device fine so the device is working and I can use that if needed
I have tried turning off my Anti-Virus and that doesn’t help
I also have a laptop with these programs on which works perfectly, I have tried going through the laptop and matching settings on the PC
